USE AND MAINTENANCE:
Please read this manual carefully to ensure maximum product effectiveness.
OPERATION
• A strong ultrasonic signal will frighten animals; they will avoid the area
because of its unpleasant ultrasonic sound. The sound is activated when an
animal enters the range, the signal will become stronger the closer the
animal is to the unit.
WHERE TO PLACE THE DEVICE
• For maximum effect, install the device facing the direction you have noticed
animals entering your garden or property.
• When installing the device, please choose a location to maximise the solar
panel's exposure to sunlight. If there is dust or dirt on the solar panel, please
wipe off to ensure the efficiency of photoelectric conversion.
• Do not use external force such as a hammer to secure the device into the
ground.
• When selecting the installation location, please choose a suitable terrain to
ensure water can't run into the DC socket (situated on the base of the
device) in bad weather conditions, so as to avoid damage to the product. Do
not insert the device into the ground beyond the 'safety line' indicated in the
diagram below. This line is 1" from the top of the aluminium spike when
inserted into the device.
• On the back of the device you will find a hanging loop which can be used as
an alternative fixing point to a wall, fence etc...
• Avoid placing the device near objects such as trees that may block out
sunlight.
SETTINGS
• The button marked "SENS" (Left): Is for adjusting sensitivity and distance.
By turning the knob clockwise, you increase the range of protection.
• The button marked "FREQ" (Right): Frequency control. By turning the knob
clockwise, you increase the frequency range ca. 25Khz +/- 10%
- 0: OFF
- 1: Repels animals such as insects, spiders...
- 2: Repels animals such as mice, rats, small rodents...
- 3: Repels animals such as small dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, squirrels...
- 4: Repels animals such as large dogs, foxes, deer...(LED operation only)
- 5: This will cover all the functions of the device.
IMPORTANT:
• To change a setting, you must always start from the OFF position and then
go directly to the function you need. If you want to change the setting, you
always have to restart from OFF position i.e. if you switch from 5 to 3
directly, the frequency will be different had you gone from the OFF position
to 3.
BATTERY PROTECTION
• When the power is running low, the red light of the low voltage indicator will
keep on flashing, please connect the device to a USB output interface
(computer, MP3, mobile phone chargers etc...) with the DC socket lead
attached with the device. After fully charged, the red indicator will remain on
but not flashing).
