I replaced my CO2 tank. when I hooked up my regulator and turned on the CO2, there was a leak under the bottom of the regulator at the screw that is close to the bubble counter side of the regulator set-up. Why is this leaking?

A leak at the screw near the bubble counter after replacing the CO2 tank could be caused by a missing or improperly seated O-ring between the bubble counter and the valve. The small seal included in the kit is a spare for this O-ring. Ensure the O-ring is in place and properly fitted before tightening.

Assembly Instruction Guide STEP 1 Unpack the CO2 valve, you will notice a small bag that contains a small and large seal. The large seal goes between the valve connection and the CO2 bottle. The small seal is just a spare in case you lose the O ring between the bubble counter and the valve.

Assembly Instruction Guide STEP 3 Unscrew the top of the bubble counter, fill the bubble counter approximately halfway with either distilled/DI water or glycerin. You can find glycerin at a local drugstore. I normally use water. The bubble counter also acts as a check valve to prevent water from entering the main portion of the valve.

Assembly Instruction Guide STEP 5 Close the needle valve underneath the square portion of the valve. STEP 6 Attach the solenoid, the small washer should be positioned so that the center of the washer is pointing down, hand tightened the small black nut. The warped washer helps keep the solenoid from vibrating.

Assembly Instruction Guide STEP 9 Adjust the front large knob on the CO2 valve to the desired output pressure. I normally set the pressure around 40 or below. STEP 10 Use the fine adjustment/ needle valve underneath the square portion of the valve to adjust the output, you will notice that CO2 will start to bubble through the bubble counter.
