Cleaning instructions for luminaires
0. Introduction
Safety instructions:
•
The power to the luminaires must be switched off before cleaning.
•
The luminaires must not be disconnected without switching off the power. In the case of LED luminaires there is a
risk of damaging the LEDs.
•
Ensure that the light source and luminaires are cooled off before you start the cleaning process.
•
For emergency lighting: remove and control batteries before cleaning. In case of a faulty battery, contact your
ETAP-advisor.
General:
•
When cleaning LED luminaires avoid the use of detergents containing VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
•
Consult ETAP if in doubt about the way in which the luminaire is to be cleaned.
•
Always use cloth gloves to prevent leaving fingerprints.
