Velleman WT28 Quick Start Manual

1. Introduction

Thank you for buying the WT28 ! This multifunctional clock does much more than merely display the correct time !
This device is also equipped with several other functions : a calendar, an alarm, a snooze function, temperature
read-out and a backlight.

2. Features

Normal display mode : Hours, minutes, date, month, day of the week and temperature are displayed. Range for
Alarm/snooze mode : Set the alarm and press SNOOZE/LIGHT to activate the snooze mode when the alarm is
Time display mode : 12h- or 24h-mode.
Thermometer : Displays the temperature in °C or °F.
Backlight : Enables the user to read the display in the dark.

3. Normal Display Mode

• Press the UP/12/24 button to toggle between 12h- and 24h-mode for the time display.
• Press DOWN/°C/°F to toggle between °C and °F for the temperature display
• Press the ALM ON/OFF button at the back of the device to toggle between alarm ON and alarm OFF
• Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to activate the backlight for ±3 seconds.

4. Setting the Correct Time

Open the battery compartment at the back of the device and insert two AA-batteries (1.5V). Hold the TIME/CAL SET
button on the front panel for three seconds until the digits for the hours start to flash.
Note that the digits will change faster if the UP or DOWN button is held.
Enter the hours with the UP or DOWN button and confirm the hours with TIME/CAL SET. The digits for the minutes
start to flash. Enter the minutes with UP or DOWN and confirm with TIME/CAL SET. The digits for the year start to
flash. Enter the year with UP or DOWN and confirm with TIME/CAL SET. The digits for the month start to flash. Enter
the month with UP or DOWN button and confirm with TIME/CAL SET. The digits for the date start to flash. Enter the
date with UP or DOWN button and confirm with TIME/CAL SET. Note that the day of the week changes
automatically when either the month or the date is adjusted.

5. Setting the Alarm and the Snooze Function

Press the ALM SET button to display the current alarm time for ± 10 seconds. Hold the button for three seconds to
activate the alarm setting mode and make the digits for the hours flash. Enter the hours with UP or DOWN and
confirm with ALM SET. The digits for the minutes start to flash. Enter the minutes with UP or DOWN and confirm with
ALM SET.
Arm the alarm by pushing the ALM ON/OFF button at the back of the device. The
alarm is armed. Press the button again to disarm the alarm. The alarm will sound for one minute at the entered time.
