7. Reinigung und Wartung 1. Die UV-C Lampen in den Geräten haben eine Lebensdauer von ca. 8.000 Std. Nach 5.000 Std. beträgt die Leistung noch ca. 85% der Anfangsleistung. Sie müssen also regelmäßig ausgewechselt werden. Wir empfehlen, beim Wechsel der Lampen auch das Quarzrohr im Gerät zu reinigen.

Working Principle The UV‐C water clarifier Protector clears the water with the help of UV‐C rays. They are produced by a special lamp inside of the unit. The UV‐C rays kill all Microorganisms – microalgae, bacteria, protozoa and other parasites. The results are crystal clear water and healthy fish. 2. Warnings: This unit contains a UV‐C source. Never switch on the UV‐V burner, if it is not mounted into the housing or if the housing is broken. UV‐C rays can damage skin and eyes, even in low concentration. Damaged units may not be operated Read the manual before you open the unit to change the UV‐C bulb. Disconnect the unit from the mains before you open it. Use the unit only in connection with a circuit breaker (30mA/h) The unit may only be started when the water is flowing through. If the units are used outdoors at garden ponds, they have to be taken out in winter to protect them from freezing. Never use the units submerged. 3. Special features Plastic housings are damaged by UV‐C rays and can start to leak after some time. To avoid this, the Protector UV‐C units are supplied with a double protection pipe. Sizes/technical Data The UV‐C Protector water clarifier are produced in 4 sizes: 9 Watts, 18 Watts, 36 Watts and 55 Watts, with 10 m rubber cable and electronic ballasts for garden ponds, fresh‐ and saltwater aquariums. The electronic ballasts increase the UV‐C yield and the lifetime of the UV‐C bulbs. For the different applications we have different recommendations of flow rate, and aquarium and pond size. 7. Warranty. Should any defect in material or workmanship be found within 12 months of the date of purchase Theiling GmbH undertakes to repair or, at our option, replace the defective part free of charge – always provided the product has been installed correctly, is used for the purpose that was intended by us, is used in accordance with the operating instructions and is returned to us carriage paid.
