    Warning and Safety instructions Please read the operating instructions before using the air purifier for the first time. They contain important information for your safety, as well as information on using and main- taining the air purifier. To avoid the risk of accidents or damage, it is essential to read the operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.

    Do not operate the air purifier in humid areas at risk of explosion and/or areas with ag- gressive atmospheres.  Do not make any alterations to the air purifier, unless authorised to do so by Miele.  To ensure the correct performance of the air purifier and to prevent the risk of faults, it is important to carry out maintenance on a regular basis.

    Description of the machine Functional description The Miele air purifier draws in atmospheric air at the bottom via the air intake vents in the plinth (). The pre-filters () filter coarse dust out of the air. The air is conveyed upwards by the fan inside the air purifier and is pushed through the main filter and the active charcoal filter ().

    Operation Initial commissioning Before carrying out initial commissioning, it is important to check that the air purifier is in- stalled in accordance with appropriate use guidelines. After installation, allow the air puri- fier to adjust to room temperature. Check the air purifier, the plug and the mains connection cable for damage. If there is any damage, the air purifier must not be used.

  • Page 18 Operation Sensitivity sub-menu is used to set the sensitivity with which the controls respond to open windows when activating intensive circulation. High When is selected, intensive circulation is activated more quickly. When is selec- ted, it takes longer for intensive circulation to be activated when a window is open. If settings are configured, these settings will automatically be adopted for the other op- erating modes.

    Installation Transport and installation Only personnel who have received instruction from the supervisor may transport and in- stall the air purifier.  Risk of tipping during unsecured transport. There is a risk that the air purifier may tip over in the event of unsecured transport with incorrect transport equipment or lifting equipment.

When mounting the adjustable feet, there is a risk that fingers will be trapped accident- ally.

    If the mains connection cable is damaged, it must only be replaced with a specific mains connection cable of the same type (available from the Miele Customer Service Depart- ment). For safety reasons, such replacement may only be carried out by a qualified spe- cialist or the Miele Customer Service Department.

  • Page 25: Removing Fluff And Dust From The Pre-Filter

    Contaminated filters must not be cleaned with solvent-based fluids and then reused in the air purifier. Contaminated filters must always be replaced with new ones. When replacing filters, only use accessory parts approved by Miele. If other parts are used, warranty, performance and/or product liability claims will be in- validated.

    Pull the contact protection downwards and screw it back into place.  Close the service flap and retighten the screws.  Replacing the main filter and active charcoal filter Miele recommends having the main filter and the active charcoal filter replaced by the Miele Customer Service Department.

Miele recommends having the active charcoal filter re- placed by the Miele Customer Service Department.
  • Page 28 Replacing the main filter The main filter (comprising particulate pre-filter G4 and high-performance filter H14) must be replaced roughly every 2 years in order to optimise operation of the air purifier. Miele recommends having the main filter replaced by the Miele Customer Service Department in order to guarantee that the air purifier is properly sealed afterwards.
