Description
The WaterSiren™ has a 90 decibel audible alarm that sounds
when water is detected and will chirp every 30 seconds if the
battery requires replacing. The WaterSiren can also connect to
the GenAlert Plus™ (B&S model 040206), to call up to three pre-
programmed phone numbers in the event of a water emergency.
Features
• Sounds an audible alarm of 90 decibels (at 10 ft / 3 m) if
water is detected.
• Alarm will sound and relay output is sustained up to
36 hours on a fresh 9 volt alkaline or lithium battery.
• Fully automatic operation and simple installation.
Battery Installation
To install the WaterSiren's required 9-volt battery, remove the
battery compartment cover on the back of the alarm. Install a
9-volt battery by connecting the top of the battery to the battery
clips in the compartment. Set the battery in the compartment and
close the cover. Be careful to not pinch any wires when replacing
the battery compartment cover and ensure the tabs snap into
place. Battery compartment keeps battery dry in up to 1/2"
(1.3cm) of water.
Replace the battery immediately after any alarm condition
or when you hear the alarm chirp, indicating a low battery.
Replace with a 9 volt alkaline or lithium battery. If device is fully
submerged, wipe unit dry and replace battery.
Positioning the Sensor
Place the water sensor on the floor near sump pumps, toilets,
sinks, washing machines, water heater, ice-makers or anywhere
water damage could occur.
The water sensor is located on the bottom of the WaterSiren.
It has two small metal pads that must both be touching water
to sound the siren. The water sensor may remain attached to
the WaterSiren (the whole unit is simply set on the floor) or the
water sensor may also be detached and placed within 6 feet
(1.8 M) of the WaterSiren in harder to reach areas.

the 'NO' connection on the WaterSiren to the AUX ALARM
connection on the GenAlert Plus. Attach another stripped wire
Audible Alarm

ALARM connection on the GenAlert
Plus. These wires can be extended up
to 500 feet (152 m).
Use the tip of a pen or similar device
Alarm Output
to push on the button and then push
wire end into the slot below the
button. When you remove the pen tip
pressure, the wire should be secure.
