Begin by reaching behind the switch panel in front of the shifter and lifting up gently
using only you hand. This panel will easily begin to snap out of its location.

  • Page 2 With the switch panel removed, unplug the three connectors on the backside of the panel and set aside.
  • Page 3 Next, use your fingers to start unsnapping the clips on the front edge of the storage pocket that hold this piece in place, which were revealed when the switch panel was removed. This will allow you to completely remove the storage pocket by lifting up and toward you.
  • Page 4 Flip the storage pocket unit over and drill a small pilot hole in the location shown. Enlarge this hole to 1/2” using a Unibit step drill bit or a hole saw.
  • Page 5 The finished hole will look like this from the top side. Route the cable integrated into the spec.dock through this hole.
  • Page 6 Remove the backing from the pre-installed double-sided tape on the spec.dock. Lower the spec.dock into position while pulling through any remaining slack on the integrated cable and press down firmly to ensure proper adhesion. You will now be able to connect the spec.dock cable to your interface electronics and test all functionality before reassembling the vehicle interior.
