OPERATION
Observe all safety decals.
Keep all shields in place. Do not operate mower with discharge chute removed.
Do not operate mower with other persons in the area. Irregularities in ground surface
can permit foreign material to be propelled from beneath deck to cause serious injury
or death.
Before leaving tractor, stop on a level surface, move Forward - Reverse control to neu-
tral position, disengage PTO, set parking brake, lower mower deck and stop engine.
Remove key from ignition if maintenance procedures are to be performed or tractor is
to be left unattended.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Do not operate mower without discharge chute in lace and in the locked position. To unlock for
transport, remoce the clevis pin and swing the chute up so it rests on the deck, and reinstall the clevis
pin in one bracket hole. To lock, remove the clevis pin from bracket and swing chute down and
resinstall clevis pin through both brackets.
- Mow with front lift lever in "FLOAT" position only.
- Engage PTO slowly at low engine r.p.m.
- Mower is designed to operate at full throttle for mowing heavy turf, but 3/4 throttle is adequate for
average conditions. Set mower blade speed with throttle and control ground speed with Forward -
Reverse control.
- Use extreme caution when operating on hills. Mow up and down whenever possible.

SETTING MOWER CUTTING HEIGHT
- Lift mower deck off the ground and shut off tractor engine.
- Remove clevis pin at location A from height adjustment link.
- Raise or lower deck to desired height.
- Replace clevis pin into height adjustment link.
