    PREFACE When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be followed including: Read Instructions - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the product is operated. Retain Instructions - The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference.

    Object and Liquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Servicing - Do not attempt to service this product yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards.

    BEWARE OF CONDENSATION When the player is moved from a cold to a warm place or is used after a sudden temperature change, there is danger of condensation. Water vapour in the air could condense on the mechanism. To prevent this, if you are going to use the player in a condition where condensation could occur, you should leave the player for 1 or 2 hours after plugging it into an AC outlet depending on the amount of condensation.

    INSTRUCTIONS Preparation for use to the mains Remove all the packaging from the unit. Connect the AC power cord to the mains. The silver screw protects the phonograph chassis during transportation. If the speed of your phonograph seems slow or you hear a rubbing sound, adjust the screw with a coin to correct the balance of the turntable.

    In Audacity, go to Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O, and AK5371 under Recording Device. Also, select “Stereo” under Recording Channels. Then, on the File Formats tab, check that Uncompressed Export Format reads “WAV (Microsoft 16-bit PCM).” Hit OK. Adjust the output and input volume. SAFETY INFORMATION Caution In order to shut off the power of this product completely, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
