Maintenance Schedule Proper maintenance of your tile trailer includes lubrication of the bearings and pivots, as well as attention to the tires, hydraulic fluid, and battery. See the chart below for manufacturer recommendations. NOTE: All maintenance should be performed while the trailer is stationary and parked on level ground.
General Safety Standards The following general safety standards are recommended by Ideal Industries for the proper operation of your equipment and to ensure the safety of the operator. ROAD SAFETY It is the owner’s responsibility to know the requirements of local highway authorities and comply with regulations.

Trailer Width: The width of your tile trailer with the table wings folded is 8’. When loaded with a full roll of tile, that width may increase to 10’ or 11’. Please note this difference when transporting a roll on the roadway and operate with caution. When the tile trailer is empty, always fold the wings and lock them securely to the table with the pins provided.

SINGLE AXLE MODEL This model has a single axle and one set of tires for smaller tow vehicles and lighter duty performance. DUAL AXLE MODEL The dual axle model has two axles and two sets of tires for larger towing vehicles and heavier duty performance.
Hooking Up Your Trailer SINGLE AXLE, DUAL AXLE AND WALKING BEAM MODELS No matter what type of hitch you use (ball, clevis, shackle, or pingel hitch), use caution when backing up to the trailer and make sure to secure all clips and pins.

Loading a Tile Roll Before a tile roll can be loaded, the table must be tilted 90 degrees and the top hat removed. (See the box below concerning Ideal’s optional Autohat feature.) RAISING THE TABLE Always transport an empty trailer with the table wings securely folded to reduce the width of your trailer on the road.

INSERTING THE TUBE INTO THE SPOOL Back up the trailer until the center tube is completely inserted into the spool and the tile contacts the table. Misalignment could result in damage to the tile. REPLACING THE TOP HAT Replace the top hat manually. (Autohat technology is available for remote operation.) Stringing Your Tile Once your tile spool has been safely loaded on the trailer and the top hat secured, you are ready to transport to the location where you plan to string your tile. Muddy conditions could result in problems with stringing your tile. Be sure to check your location in advance of stringing any tile.
