IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• Do Not drop, crush, or puncture
• Do Not disassemble due to risk of injury
• Do Not use in flammable or explosive areas
• Operating at temperatures above 140ºF (60Cº) may cause damage
• Discontinue use if electronic components or accessories are damaged
• Store in a clean dry place when not in use
• Recharge every 3 months when not in use
• Administer close supervision when using around children
IMPORTANT:
Before use, please charge via the USB port for 8 hours.
CHARGING
There are 2 ways to charge the Spirit:
USB Charging
This feature uses any USB output such as from a computer, AC wall charging adapter, or
other power supply. Using the included USB CHARGING CABLE, plug the MICRO USB TIP
into the end of the charging cable and into the INPUT PORT on the Spirit. Plug the other
end into the USB port of the device you are charging from. After connection, the CHARGING
LED INDICATORS will flash showing that it is being charged. The blue LEDs will flash when
charging as shown:
• Right blue LED flashing: 10%-30% battery capacity
• Center blue LED flashing: 31%-70% battery capacity
• Left blue LED flashing: 71%-100% battery capacity
• When it is finished charging, all LED indicators will stop flashing and remain lit.
Solar Charging
Charge from the built-in SOLAR PANEL under direct sunlight. The RED LED CHARGE
INDICATOR will be ON when it is charging from the solar panel, but no blue LED lights will
be lit or flashing. Repositioning will be required throughout the charging cycle to keep the
solar panel in direct sun.
Check Battery Capacity Level: To check battery capacity level when not charging, press
POWER/TEST BUTTON. The blue LED indicators will light indicating battery capacity level
according to the instructions in the USB Charging section.
CHARGING YOUR DEVICE
WARNING:
Only charge a 5V compatible device.
1. Insert the USB CHARGING CABLE into the OUTPUT PORT.
2. Attach the appropriate TIP into the end of the cable and then into the charge port of
your portable electronic device.
3. Blue LED indicator should turn ON for 5 seconds confirming that your device is being
charged. After 5 seconds, the blue LED indicator will turn off as your device continues
to be charged .
4. When your device is fully charged there is no need to disconnect the Spirit.
