EMERGENCY OPERATION When to use: Definitions: Items: Fork: Twistlock: C8A-HC Emergency tool Hook: When the twistlock has been mounted backwards. Connect the fork to the wire handle. Push the tool to pull out wire handle. Ensure that the handle is at the bottom of the fork gap and that the hook is atta- ched to the twistlock as shown.
Page 6 EMERGENCY OPERATION Lock the tool with the latch. The twistlock is now secured in open position and the container can be lifted. Removal of emergency tool: To remove the emergency tool, open the latch. Ensure that all arms and hooks stay in position when locking.
