- Page 3 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Step 1 Turn fireplace base upside-down. You should do this on a towel, carpet or other soft surface to avoid scratches to the finish of your fireplace. Step 2 Place base legs over base and line up holes. Attach legs with screw provided. Repeat for second side.
