SilentCall BM418-MC Installation And Operating Instructions

Transmitter Features:

BM418-MC transmitters are battery operated. BM418-MC is coded at the manufacturer with a unique address ID.
Transmitter has a test button for programming and follow on operational testing. When activated the RED LED will
illuminate and the BM418-MC will transmit a doorbell alert to the Silent Call Medallion series receiver. Low Battery yellow
LED will flash every 10 seconds when batteries are in need of replacement.

Transmitter Mounting And Location:

The BM418-MC Medallion Series Transmitter is designed for indoor use only. The transmitter case has provisions for
mounting to a nail or screw on the wall. Velcro strip is also provided for mounting on desktop or wall. Avoid mounting
transmitter near large metal objects, other transmitting devices in close proximity or high current appliances that will degrade
the transmitter / receiver operation. Test transmitter mounting location before mounting to ensure proper system operation.
Adjust antenna for best results. Transmission range with a Silent Call Medallion Series receiver is approximately 500 feet.
CAUTION: When handling or shipping the Bed Mat Transmitter, do not bend the mat sharply or fold it. It must be kept flat or
rolled loosely or it will be damaged.

Installation

1. Place the bed mat under the sheet on the bed in the area of where the users back will lay.
2. Allow the wire and transmitter to hang over the head of the bed so that the user is not lying on either part or does not trip
on the wire when getting out of bed.
3. Mount the BM418-MC transmitter.
4. Pair BM418-MC to intended Medallion Receiver. Follow Programming procedure in Receiver installation manual.

Operation:

1. When someone is lying on the bed mat it will not transmit. The user can roll around and it will not transmit.
2. The transmitter will activate once the person gets up out of bed and pressure is removed from the mat.
3. Red LED will illuminate for approximately 5 seconds.
4. Medallion Series Receiver strobe will activate and illuminate the doorbell LED Icon. The Receiver will indicate alert for
16 seconds.
5. Reset BM418-MC by applying pressure to Bed Mat. Once pressure is removed transmitter will activate for another 5
seconds.

Replacement Batteries:

Transmitter: Two AA 1.5V Alkaline Batteries. AA Batteries may be purchased from local retail stores. Transmitter is
shipped with 2 AA Alkaline Batteries.
Bed Mat Module: One 12 Volt, Type 23AE Alkaline Battery. Bed Mat is shipped with battery.
