PRECAUTIONS: Always operate petrol powered engines outside in a well ventilated area. Exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide an odourless and deadly gas, amongst other toxic chemicals. Small children and pregnant women are at great risk from these gases. Exhaust fumes are Dangerous to ALL Humans and other creatures. Do NOT touch the muffler or engine body while operating or until the stopped motor has cooled, the engine operates at temperatures that can cause serious burns.

GOLDEN RULES FOR ‘TROUBLE FREE’ OPERATION START UP 1. Turn on the fuel tap and allow the carburettor to fill. 2. Close the choke on the carburettor completely (for cold starts) by moving the throttle control fully forward (refer mower owner manual). 3.

STOPPING 1. Reduce the engine speed to the lowest setting for 3-5 minutes. 2. Stop the engine with either the throttle control or by turning off the fuel. Note: do not wash the engine down while it is still hot, this can cause damage to the block and seals.

REFUELLING Always stop the engine before refuelling, and allow the engine to cool. Petrol fumes are highly inflammable so remove the fuel cap carefully to release pressure gently, ensure the engine is re-fuelled from a petroleum- safe container and that refuelling takes place outdoors in a well ventilated area to avoid fumes build-up.
MAINTENANCE Check at each operation; • Check all screws and nuts are tight • Check for fuel leaks. • All fuel leaks must be repaired immediately DO NOT use the engine. Check after running 20 hours; • Clean the air filter – rinse in petrol, wring dry and add 5ml of clean engine oil to the filter, squeeze filter to spread oil before re-fitting (ensure petrol has evaporated before re-fitting) •...
If you think your carburetor needs adjusting, see your nearest AUTHORISED MASPORT SERVICE OUTLET. Engine performance should not be affected at altitudes up to 7,000 feet.
