3. Adjustable Clamp Socket The Adjustable Clamp Socket is one of a variety of davit base mounting options. It is a transportable aluminium clamp-style socket that can be installed in a few minutes. The Adjustable Clamp Socket can be fitted to a wide range of vertical structures, such as walls, pilings, trench boxes or any strong vertical structure.

5. Inspection Before Use Before each occasion of use, the Adjustable Clamp Socket should be visually inspected and checked according to the following instructions. This should be done by someone who is competent to do so. Inspection 1. Before installation and assembly with the davit arm, visually inspect the general structure of the Adjustable Clamp Socket.
6. Setup For Use If in any doubt please contact either your retailer, Globestock or a specialist for advice. Pre-use checks for all equipment must be completed. Where possible, the equipment should be inspected and setup in a safe area. Once completed the equipment can then be moved to the area of work and assembled ready for use.
7. Socket Installation The Adjustable Clamp Socket can be fitted over and attached to a wide range of vertical structures. Before fitting, all of the clamp screws should be fully retracted so that they protrude equally. The clamp socket should firstly be adjusted so that it will fit over the vertical structure. Unscrew and remove the adjustment leg locking pin.
In the event of a fall being arrested (the fall arrester being used while attached to the G.Davit) the G.Davit and brackets should be withdrawn from use immediately and returned to Globestock or a Globestock-approved servicing agent for an examination/service.
