- Page 2 Please read the following instructions before operating your sharpener. Features Sharpness Adjuster Safety Switch Protective Shutter Shavings Tray Reverse Broken Switch Tip Remover Operating Instructions Select the desired pencil point sharpness by sliding the adjustor at the back of the machine. (Fig.1) Press the safety switch on top of the sharpener to open the safety shutter.
- Page 3 Note If the pencil is quite short, it may become trapped behind the safety shutter. If this occurs, slide the reverse switch upward. The safety shutter will open and the pencil stub will be reversed out of the machine (Fig.3). Please do not attempt to sharpen pencils less than 50mm long as they will become trapped.
- Page 4 Safety Features Helical Blade ● The sharpener has a safety shutter to help prevent small children inserting their fi ngers into the sharpener. ● The sharpener has a safety interlock that prevents the machine from operating unless the shavings tray is fi rmly in place.
