Installing and Recharging the Battery
The Pro24.r (v2) uses a Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery that does not exhibit any type of "Memory Effect" from being charged too often. The
remote features convenient USB recharging capability, giving you even more control over how and where you choose to recharge the remote's
battery.
NOTE: Optional Pro24.dock Charging Dock is available for purchase separately.
The Pro24.r comes equipped with:
• One (1) USB programming cable (USB-A to micro USB-B), 6Ft (2m)
• One (1) Charging cable (5VDC universal AC adapter and cable with integrated micro USB connector), 6Ft (2m)
• Four (4) Interchangeable AC adapter plugs for international applications
Battery Compartment Door
Follow these steps to charge the battery.
The Pro24.r (v2) can be charged using the included charging cable.
NOTE: Please refer to the instructions included with the optional Pro24.dock Charging
Dock.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• Third-party AC adapter/charging cables may not fit properly and could result
in damage to the unit. Only use the supplied cable.
• Verify the orientation of the USB connector is correct before attempting to
insert it into the remote or damage to the USB port may occur.
1. Insert the micro USB end of the AC Adapter charging cable into the USB port located
on the bottom-side of the remote control unit.
2. Plug the AC Adapter into a wall outlet.
3. The charging LED on the bottom of the unit will flash red while the battery is
charging, and it will remain illuminated when the charging cycle is complete.
To make logo scale correctly
select the logo and go to:

effects" and click OK.
To make the logo permanently
scaleable on any computer select
the logo and go to:
Object>Expand. Check all avail-
able boxes and click OK.
Follow these steps to install the battery.
1. Remove the access door from the rear of the remote
by sliding it down and off.

3. Ensure that the battery's charge contacts are touching
the charging pins inside the battery compartment.
4. Press the battery down into the compartment until it
snaps and locks in place.
5. Turn the unit on by sliding the power switch to the
"ON" position.
6. The battery can be removed by pressing the battery

The Pro24.r (v2) is capable of capturing infrared codes from original equipment manufacturer remote controls. This IR learning capability is
designed to work together with the Pro Control Studio library manager software.
To capture infrared codes, follow the steps listed below:
1. Connect the Pro24.r to your PC using the provided USB cable.
2. Start the Pro Control Studio software and select Libraries under Controlled Devices.
3. Select IR Library Manager.
4. Add new remote to library - From the upper toolbar, select "Remote." Click "New" and enter the Manufacturer, Type and Model of the
device being captured.
5. Add function names - From the tabs below the main window, click the "Edit" button, type in the name of the function to be learned (e.g.
Power) in the textbox, and click the "Add" button.
5. From the tabs below the main window, click the "Capture" tab.
6. Place the remote control 3 to 5 inches (7cm to 12cm) away from the Pro24.r IR Window.
7. Select the "Align" button, press, and hold any button on the remote control until "Signal" illuminates on the PC's screen. Click the "Learn"
button.
8. Press and hold the button on the remote control matching the selected function until the PC has accepted it.
9. Continue with previous step until all the functions have been learned.

Accessing Control Panel
From the Control Panel, you can make adjustments to the operation of the Pro24.r (v2).
Control Panel options:
• Set the backlight level
• Set the backlight timeout
• Turn the tilt switch on/off
• Turn the beep function on/off
• Adjust beeper tone
To access the Pro24.r (v2) Control Panel:
1. Press any of the 4 color buttons for 1 to 2 seconds while sliding the power switch from "OFF" to the "ON" position.
Note: The Control Panel can also be accessed by setting up a "Page Link" on any programmable button.
