3. Your water, how you want it 3.1 Dispensing water Cold water Press and hold the COLD button for continuous cold water. The fi lling glass icon (shown) will appear while the water is dispensing. Preset cold water for your favourite glass Press the CUP button once to dispense a preset amount of cold water.

Extra hot water Press the EXTRA HOT button to heat water up to boiling temperature, then press HOT button to dispense. Hot water dispensing with child lock on When the T6 is in child safety mode (see page 12), press the HOT and COLD buttons simultaneously to dispense hot water.
3.2 System modes There are three main system modes designed to help you save energy: 1. Normal mode In this mode, COLD, HOT, MIX, CUP and jug dispensing is possible. 2. Energy saving mode In energy saving mode you can dispense cold and mix water, using the COLD, CUP and MIX buttons.
3.3 Menu function 3.3.1. Setting clock and day To set the clock, enter the clock sub-menu: MAIN MENU TIME DATE CLOCK The current time setting and day will appear on the display. Use the COLD and CUP buttons to scroll and select the clock or the day.

3.3.2. Wakey wakey! There are two independent timers, which re-start the heating system from energy saving mode. To set wake-up timer, enter the wake-up sub-menu: MAIN MENU TIME DATE WAKEUP The current status of the wake-up timers will appear on the display. Use the scroll buttons, (COLD and CUP) to select the timer.

3.3.4 Setting the automatic power down timer The power down timer automatically switches the system off after a period of time set by you. To set automatic power down mode timer, enter the power down sub menu: MAIN MENU TIME DATE POWER DOWN The current setting will appear on the display.

3.3.7 Clock view option To select the clock view, enter the clock view sub-menu: MAIN MENU SETTINGS DISPLAY SET CLOCK VIEW The current option will appear on the display. Use the scroll buttons (COLD and CUP) to change the option. Press OK to confi rm.

3.3.16 Setting the hot water amount for your favourite cup* To set hot water dispensing quantity, enter the hot water quantity sub-menu: MAIN MENU WATER TEMP & QTY HOT WATER QTY The current quantity setting – between 60-300 cc (2-10 oz) – will appear on the display. Use the scroll buttons (COLD and CUP) to change the quantity.
4.2 Changing the fi lter and UV lamp To keep providing pure, crisp water, the fi lter should be replaced every six months (about 2,000 litres/ 520 gallons of water), and the UV lamp every year. The REPLACE FILTER message will appear six months after the last fi lter counter reset.

Resetting the fi lter’s counter Immediately after replacing the fi lter you need to reset the counter in order that the T6 will display when your fi lter needs changing again. Press MENU. Scroll to REPLACEMENT. Press OK. Scroll to FILTER. Press OK.

4.2.2 At 12 months - changing your UV lamp Perform the 6 month de-scaling process and fi lter change as per previous pages, then follow these steps to replace the UV lamp. Remove the rubber pad. Pull the lamp upwards and Remove the new lamp from dispose of it in accordance with its wrapper.
4.3 When to change the consumables In order to display the filter and UV lamp’s current status, enter the replacement sub-menu to display or reset counters. MAIN MENU REPLACEMENT 4.4 De-scaling Your T6 needs to be de-scaled every 6 months when you change your filter. When we send your replacement filter a de-scaling capsule will be sent to you with instructions how to run it through the appliance.
The T6 has been designed for you to change the filters and UV lamp yourself. Any other appliance maintenance must be conducted by a Virgin Strauss Water certified technician. 9. Troubleshooting guide Your T6 has been manufactured to exacting standards and will require almost no maintenance other than the de-scaling process and the replacement of the filter and UV lamp. We’re happy to come out and rectify any problems should they occur but ask that you check the following table to ensure that you are experiencing an appliance fault, and not a problem with the electricity or water supply.
