If the system sustains damage, or a component malfunctions and requires replacement, the replacement procedures provided by WABCO must be followed exactly with the associated steps performed in the order presented. Not following these steps could lead to the HABS not operating correctly.
Installation 3 Introduction WABCO Kits 400 850 913 0 and 400 850 914 0 contain: Hydraulic ABS (HABS) Modulator with ECU and angled mounting bracket (7 degree). Figure 1. Installation 3. Install the new ECU/modulator assembly and bracket provided in the kit onto the vehicle. Figure 3 shows the installation of the new kit on the vehicle. Use the existing mounting hardware. Tighten the four mounting screws to OEM torque specifi cation. Figure 1 and Figure 4 show the replacement part. Consult with the OEM on what brake lines have to be used to reconnect the brake lines to the newly installed ABS modulator. Figure 6.
