OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the battery compartment cover (rear) and insert the supplied battery. Replace the cover.
2. Select a TIME MODE and adjust to the correct time. This is done by pressing the appropriate hour (HR) and minute
(MIN) button on the rear of the thermometer. Remember to also adjust for Daylight Saving.
3. Press the MODE button a number of times until you have MODE 3 (see setting display modes). This will display the
time in the top display and the fridge temperature (OUT) in the bottom display.
4. Place the thermometer outside the fridge and position the 2.5m cable and sensor through the door seal and into
the fridge compartment. The thermometer can be secured to the fridge body or an adjacent wall. Alternatively can
be positioned upright with the aid of seating flap (rear). Attach the end on the cable (sensor) to a vaccine box or
vial with a rubber band and place with stored vaccines. Ideally vaccines should be stored in the middle of the
fridge away from sides, rear and doors. PLEASE NOTE: make sure the cable secured so that it doesn't impede
access to the fridge compartment.
5. Wait for the temperature to reach the desired tolerances (+2°C to +8°C)
6. To record the MINIMUM and MAXIMUM temperatures press MEM. The unit will display MEM on the left-hand side
of the bottom display (see below). This is the RECORDING MODE.
7. To read the MINIMUM and MAXIMUM temperatures from the previous day ie 24 hours, press the MAX/MIN button.
Simply press the MIN/MAX button to display the maximum, minimum and current temperatures. DO NOT press the
MEM button at this time as this will clear the memory.
8. Record on your day sheet the above temperatures along with the time.
9. To reset the thermometer to record the next days temperatures, press MEM once to clear the previous recording
and again to start the next recording (ie press the MEM button TWICE). The display MEM will go off and on with
this procedure.

Please Note:
1. Do not place the sensor end into liquid. It is not waterproof.
2. Do not stick the sensor end to the fridge sides of walls (see 4 above) as this will give false readings.
3. Do not place the thermometer inside the fridge, always mount on the outside or an adjacent wall. Place the sensor
end inside the fridge only.
