The CoreCard Field Replacement Unit (FRU) is an upgrade that will improve the
functionality of the CoreModule. This guide tells you how to install a new FRU.

Requirements
Torx T15
1. Remove CoreCard from packaging
Always use appropriate anti-static handling procedures when handling sleds,
cards and modules.
2. Power off the sled

3. Remove the compute sled from the MX7000 enclosure
4. Remove the compute sled cover
5. Remove the old CoreCard

6. Install the replacement CoreCard into the Fabric B
Make sure screws are fully tight, a loose connection may cause damage.
