    Basic Course Below are step by step instructions to help you achieve the best possible dishwashing results. Load the baskets correctly! Thanks to Super Cleaning System™, you do not need to rinse the dishes under running water. Convenient and environmentally friendly! Scrape off large food particles before loading the machine.

    Fragile dishes A number of household goods are not suit- able for machine washing. There can be many reasons for this. Certain materials cannot withstand intense heat, others can be damaged by the dishwasher detergent. Fragile decoration China with decoration on top of the glaze (the article has a rough feel) should not be machine washed.

    Cleaning Cleaning The dishwasher’s inner container is made of stainless steel and is kept clean through normal use. However, if you have calciferous (hard) water, lime deposits can form in the dishwasher. In this case, run a normal wash program with two tablespoons of citric acid in the dishwasher detergent compartment.

    If you still cannot start the machine and a humming noise can be heard, then the overfilling protection has been activated. • Shutoff the water • Remove the plug from the wall socket • Call Service CAUTION! Use coarse salt or spe- cial salt for dishwashers. It is best to fill with salt when you are about to do a wash, as the dishwasher needs to be rinsed out immediately after filling.

The selection will be retained until the next time you reset this function. Even if the machine is turned off at the main switch or loses power for any other reason, all selections registered before the interruption of power will be retained.

    Setting water hardness If you have a dishwasher with a water softener, you may need to change the setting, de- pending on the degree of hardness of the water. Phone your local Water Board to check the water hardness in your area. The dishwasher is set for low water hardness on delivery. Switch off the dishwasher at the main switch.

    Setting a signal If you want the machine to signal when the wash is complete, you can program it to do this. The machine is set without a signal by default. Switch off the dishwasher with the main switch. Hold in the Delayed start button at the same time as you press the main switch.

    Troubleshooting Problems The dishes are not clean. Stains or a film on the china. Possible causes • The spray arms are not rotating. • Old dishwasher detergent. NB! Detergent is a perishable. • Incorrect dosage of detergent. • Insufficiently powerful dishwashing program.

    Installation Suggestions on positioning the dishwasher The dishwasher can be built in, fully free- standing or semi-freestanding. CAUTION! Connection to electricity, water and drain- age must be carried out by a suitably quali- fied person. A. Built-in The dishwasher can be built in under a worktop with a working height of 860- 910 mm.
  • Page 31 Connection to water There must be a shut-off tap on the water supply pipe. The shut-off tap should be easily accessible. The water supply pipe has a connection with a 1/2” or 3/4” internal thread depending on country. When the installation is complete, the shut- off tap should be opened to allow the pres- sure to settle for a while and to check that all connections are tight.
