3.
INSTALLATION
The WFS/94.V2 must be unpacked and installed indoors. THIS UNIT IS NOT FOR USE OUTDOORS.
3.1.
This extractor may be used as a transportable free standing unit, or securely fixed to a level surface capable of supporting
the unit's weight.
3.2.
Allow adequate surrounding space to assure the necessary ventilation.
3.3.
To fix the extraction hose (Fig 1 A.) undo the two clips 'B' and remove the front panel 'C'. Remove the large plastic nut 'A1' from the
hose connector. Pass the hose connector through the centre hole of panel 'C' and secure with large
plastic nut 'A1'.
4.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
4.1.
Ensure the unit is switched off and is unplugged from the mains power supply.
4.2.
Check the filter compartment end panel (Fig 1 C.). and ensure that clips "B" are securely locked.
4.3.
Ensure the surrounding area will provide adequate ventilation, and that there are no obstructions
in front of the air outlet.
4.4.
Place the extraction cone (by use of attached magnet) as close as possible to the area from
which fumes will be emitted.
4.5.
To avoid possibility of accidents, ensure the suction hose is laid safely so that it will not obstruction pedestrian, or vehicle pathways.
4.6.
Plug into the mains power, and switch the extraction motor switch "X", on. (The switch will light).
4.7.
Continue to run the extraction unit for a short time after welding is completed.
4.8.
When task is complete, switch the motor off and disconnect from the mains, clean and store the unit in a safe, dry, childproof area.
5.
MAINTENANCE
5.1.
General
5.1.1.
Ensure the mains switch is unplugged before attempting repair or maintenance.
5.1.2.
Keep the unit clean, wipe with a damp cloth, do not use abrasive materials.
5.1.3.
Regularly check extraction hose and head to ensure they are clean and not worn, or damaged.
5.2.
Filter Cartridge.
The durability of the filter cartridge depends on the way the cleaner is used and the quantity
of collected impurities. Periodically check the suction capacity of the unit and replace the
cartridge if there is a decrease in the unit's performance.
5.2.1.
For easy access to the filter compartment stand the unit upright on a clean protected surface.
5.2.2.
To change the filter undo the side clasps which hold the filter cover (fig 1 B).
5.2.3.
Undo the two wing nuts (fig 2 D), remove the cover plate "E" and soiled filter "F". Use an air line
to clean the filter compartment, fit the new filter and cover plate.
5.2.4.
Firmly re-tighten the wing nuts "D", position the cover plate (fig C) and lock clasps "B"
(the locking clasps may be adjusted by turning the locking head).
5.2.5.
To replace the "After Filter" (at the other end of the unit), stand the unit correctly, undo hand bolts
(Fig 3 G), remove grid "H", replace the soiled "After filter" "I" and re-fit grid "H".
Note:
The filter cartridges are disposable and must be placed in a sealed airtight container
and disposed of according to local regulations relating to the type of waste contained in the filter.
