    Rotolight accepts no responsibility for damage incurred whilst carrying out service pro- cedures. The undertaking of any disassembly of the Titan X2 light fixture may void any warranty on the product. If an experienced service engineer is not available in your region it is suggested that you contact the Rotolight service team who will be happy to assist you further.

    Do not attempt to undertake any service operations whilst the Titan X2 is connected to a power source. b. It is recommended that the Titan X2 light fixture be out of use for at least an hour prior to any servicing operations. Please ensure the fixture has had adequate time to cool down to room temperature prior to disassembly.

    TITAN X2 Service Manual ESD Protected Area (EPA) Guide All servicing operations outlined in this manual must be undertaken in an EPA. This is to prevent the risk of damage occurring through an ESD event during a servicing procedure. Definition of an EPA An ESD Protected Area (EPA) is a defined space within which all surfaces, objects, peo- ple and ESD Sensitive Devices (ESDs) are kept at the same electrical potential.

    As highlighted in the general safety requirements section of this manual ‘Do not attempt to undertake any service operations whilst the Titan X2 is connected to a power source’. The Titan X2 PSU contains no user serviceable parts and must be returned to Rotolight for any servicing requirements.

  • Page 12: Placement Of The Titan Prior To Servicing Operations

    Service operations should only be undertaken in a safe working environment. Injury or damage may occur if the unit is not properly supported. Servicing to be carried out in a clean EPA environment. The Titan X2 should be cool to the touch before servicing is undertaken.
  • Page 13 TITAN X2 Service Manual Unless indicated otherwise all operations described within the following procedures should be undertaken with the Titan orientated as shown below. For front side (light output side) servicing procedures the light should be placed back down with the black grip/support foot closest to you. The rear display screen should be furthest away from you.

This is to aide servicing operations and ensure build quality standards are maintained. ** Reassembly is the reverse of the disassembly stages. Any information relevant to the reassembly only will be shown in the disassembly step in blue text.
  • Page 15 TITAN X2 Service Manual Step 4 Carefully pry up the right-hand screen edge until it is possible to get a finger underneath. Do not attempt to lift off the screen at this stage. Step 5 Press the upper RH edge louvre clip outward and lift the upper corner of the screen past the clip.

  • Page 17 TITAN X2 Service Manual Step 4 Release the RH upper and lower louvre clips and lift the screen past the clips. Do not attempt to remove the screen at this stage. Step 5 Keeping the screen in close proximity to the main body, move it across 25mm to the RH side and allow the screen to rest on the main body.

Front screen removal/replacement procedure 2. Diffuser screen removal/replacement procedure It is only necessary to remove one LED module sub-assembly if a replacement is to be fitted.
  • Page 19 TITAN X2 Service Manual Step 4 Do not attempt to remove the LED module sub-assembly from the main body until instructed to do so. Insert your finger under the centre point of the front edge of the LED module you wish to remove.

Lift the lower edge of the driver and slide the PCBA towards you to remove it, ensuring the top edge of the driver remains clear of the antenna body and coax cable.

X-mount removal/replacement procedure The X-mount is a complete sub-assembly which contains no user-serviceable parts and therefore should not be disassembled. The X-mount sub-assembly contains a glass touchscreen display which is liable to break if dropped.
