Introduction to the Senior Seating Collection Chapter 1: Introduction Introduction to the Senior Seating Collection Overview The Senior Seating Collection consists of three therapeutic positioning chairs: PostureRest specialty chair, PostureRest Plus specialty chair, and the Posture Perfect specialty chair. Each chair is specifically designed for the non- ambulatory resident.
Preventive Maintenance Chapter 1: Introduction Preventive Maintenance The Senior Seating Collection must have an effective maintenance program. We recommend that you perform preventive maintenance and testing for Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) biannually. This not only meets JCAHO requirements, but will help to ensure a long and productive life for the Senior Seating Collection.

Adjustments Chapter 1: Introduction Adjustments The adjustment procedures for the Senior Seating Collection are as follows: PostureRest Specialty Chair The PostureRest specialty chair has the provision for brake adjustment only. Brake Adjustment 1. Adjust the jam nuts (A) and (B) to increase or decrease the brake tube pressure against the front casters (see figure 1-3 on page 1-9).
