Introduction
Purpose
This manual provides instructions for installing the FlexPay
Back Room Communication Module (BRCM)2.x and a Dispenser Communication Module
(DCM)2.x], or upgrading an existing Distribution Box (D-Box) to a BRCM2.x.
Legacy
Applause
The BRCM2.x communicates with the dispenser DCM2.x to deliver high-speed data. This
high-speed connection can be used for Applause Media System or the future Transmission
Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)-based EMV payment protocol and other
dispenser applications that require high-speed connectivity.
Intended Users
This manual is intended for Gilbarco
(ASCs).

Figure 4 page If the upgraded D-Box or factory-shipped BRCM2.x ends in “12” or “22”, they include two-wire distribution boards, allowing the communication to the dispenser/pump(s) to occur over the current loop(s). The lid portion of the BRCM2.x assembly contains the high-speed signal source that is merged with the dispenser/pump or CRIND current loop. -
