  • Page 7 Choosing where to put your alarm unit Step One C H O OS IN G WH ERE TO P UT YOUR A L A RM U N IT Choosing the right place for your alarm unit is important; it should be placed next to a telephone socket with an accessible power socket available on the same wall within 3 metres of the alarm unit.

When you set the date and time, you won’t see them shown on the alarm unit, but we need this information if we see a problem that requires us to send you an alert.

    Step Four TE S T T H E AL A RM U NI T AN D A L AR M PENDA NT • The alarm pendant works with your alarm unit. You must link them up by pressing and holding the alarm pendant's button until the light flashes.

    Your alarm pendant • The alarm pendant works with your alarm unit. • When you press the button, a red light will show and the alarm will alert our 24 hour Emergency Resolution team. • The operator will know who you are and where you live, even if you cannot speak or hear them.

    C AN CE L L IN G A N A L A RM C AL L • If you press the red help button by accident, just wait 5 seconds and press the green cancel button on the alarm unit. The unit will not let you cancel immediately (to avoid accidental cancellation).

If there is a fault on your telephone line this will also stop the alarm call reaching the Emergency Resolution team.
