  • Page 4 Betrieb des Gerätes: - Bei Verdacht auf Beschädigung oder Defekt darf das Gerät nicht benutzt werden. - Vor Abziehen des Netzkabels muss das Gerät ausgeschaltet werden. - Zum Abziehen des Netzkabels den Kabelstecker ergreifen und die Wandsteckdose festhalten. - Den Spüllösungsbehälter niemals füllen, wenn dieser auf dem Gerät steht. - Den Spüllösungsbehälter nur bis zu der umlaufenden Markierung auf dem Behälter füllen.

III - BESCHREIBUNG 3. 1 BESCHREIBUNG DES GERÄTES Das Gerät umfasst folgende Bestandteile: - eine Steuereinheit (Abb. 1-1). - einen Fußschalter (Abb. 1-2). - einen Schlauch mit Stecker für das Handstück (Abb. 1-3). - einen Behälter für die Spüllösung (Abb. 1-4). - einen Deckel für den Spüllösungsbehälter (Abb.
  • Page 6 b) Rückseite der Steuereinheit Die Buchse für den Netzkabeleingang mit dem Erdungsstift ermöglicht den Anschluss des Gerätes an das Stromnetz über ein aussteckbares Netzkabel. Das Gerät wird vom Behandler über den Fußschalter des Typs "ON/OFF" bedient. Durch Drücken des Fußschalters werden der Ultraschall des Handstücks, die Licht-Funktion (nur beim P5 XS L ) und die Spülfunktion, sofern sie sich nicht auf der Position 0 befindet, ausgelöst.

    - Positionieren Sie den Fußschalter so, dass es mit dem Fuß leicht zu erreichen ist. - Überprüfen Sie, dass im Bereich der Anschlüsse des Handstücks keine Spuren von Feuchtigkeit vorhanden sind.     VII - ABSCHALTEN DES GERÄTES Am Ende des Arbeitstags sind folgende Maßnahmen auszuführen: - Den Spülkreislauf und die Spüllösungsbehälter vollständig leeren, indem Sie auf den Einstellknopf für die Durchflussmenge drücken (Abb. 2-3). - Den Spülkreislauf und den Spüllösungsbehälter mit destilliertem oder vollentsalztem Wasser durchspülen (siehe Abschnitt 4.4).

    VI - USING THE DEVICE Important: - Do not disconnect the handpiece from the cord while the machine is plugged in and the footswitch is pressed. - For your safety and that of your patient, the device must not be used with accessories other than those supplied by SATELEC.

    VIII - -ROUTINE MAINTENANCE/ STERILIZATION Important: The device must be switched OFF for cleaning/ disinfection. To maintain the sterility or asepsis of the accessories (handpiece, tips, etc.), store them in sealed pouches or leak-proof containers suitable for medical practice. The handpiece cord and tank are not sterilizable. The following maintenance/sterilization instructions should be followed before using for the first time any of the accessories delivered with the device, and before each subsequent use.

    Always replace a tip that has been damaged by wear or by accidental impact (dropped, deformed, etc.). Use the TIPCARD™ to check scaler tip wear.
