Consequently, the therapy air is humidified. If the patient additionally requires supplemental oxygen, an external oxygen source can be connected to the TNI softFlow system. Using an applicator (comprising a respiratory circuit and a soft nasal cannula as patient interface), the warmed, humidified air or air-oxygen mixture is led into the nose of the patient and from here to the rest of the respiratory tract.
