IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING
2. Check that the voltage in your home corresponds to that stated on
the rating plate of the appliance before using the appliance.
3. Do not touch hot surfaces. Always use handles or knobs.
4. To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord, plug, or the
appliance in water or other liquid.
5. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near
children.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after
the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
Return appliance to the authorized service facility for examination,
repair, or adjustment.
7. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the
appliance.
8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may cause injuries, fire or an electric shock.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot
surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven. Also do not place on or near wet surfaces.
12. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
13. To disconnect, turn control dial to "Off" and remove the plug from
the wall outlet.
14. CAUTION: To prevent damage or shock hazard, do not cook directly
in the base. Cook only in removable crock/liner.
15. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding refrigerated
foods into a heated pot.
16. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
