General information General information Reading and storing the user manual These operating instructions are a part of this fine paint sprayer. They contain information of importance for your safety, for the use of the product and for its care. Read through the operating instructions carefully before you start using the fine paint sprayer.

Safety − All surfaces and objects that you do not want to spray with the spray material must be covered or removed from the work area. When working with the fine paint sprayer remember that, for ex- ample, wind can spread the paint mist over large distances and cause damage.

Using for the first time 3. Use a suitable funnel in order to transfer the prepared material into the paint tub without spilling any. 4. Screw the lid clockwise onto the paint tub in order to close the paint tub again. Take care not to tilt the lid while screwing it on and make sure that the paint tub is fully closed.

Operation Adjusting the spray pattern Risk of injury! Improper handling of the fine paint sprayer could result in injuries. − Avoid pulling the trigger at all costs while you adjust the air cap. − Each time before making an adjustment you must make sure that the fine paint sprayer is OFF.
Operation Spray pattern of the spraying unit for indoor wall paints 1. Undo the union nut ( ) a little by turning counter-clockwise. 2. Turn the air cap ( ) into the required spray pattern position (see Fig. G). 3. Tighten the union nut by turning clockwise, holding the air cap firmly as you do so.
Operation Changing the nozzle set This product comes with a 2.5 mm nozzle set (pre-fitted) for spraying unit 9 with 1200 ml tub volume as well as a separate 3.5 mm nozzle set. For spray material of lower viscosity the manufacturer recommends the spraying unit ( ) with the pre-fitted 1.0 mm nozzle and 900 ml tub volume, and for spray materials of higher viscosity the manufac-...
Operation 7. Insert the needle of the required nozzle set into the mount inside the spraying unit. When doing so, make sure that the needle is correctly aligned for the side grooves at the end of the needle to engage in the corresponding recesses of the mount inside the spraying unit.

Operation To become acquainted with the fine paint sprayer, carry out a spray- ing test on a cardboard box or similar surface. You can then deter- mine which settings are best for the material. − Begin spraying outside the area to be sprayed and avoid inter- rupting the spraying inside the area to be sprayed.

Care and maintenance Cleaning the nozzle 1. Dismantle the nozzle you want to clean as described in the sec- tion “Changing the nozzle set”. 2. Clean the air cap and the nozzle with a bristle brush and solvent or water. Use the cleaning needle ( ) to clean any clogged openings.

Care and maintenance − Check the air filter particularly if you notice a drop in spraying performance or if you can see that dust is collecting at the ventila- tion openings. − Change the air filter if it is heavily soiled. The air filter can be cleaned several times before it needs to be re- placed.
