    Congratulations on the purchase of your new SCUBAPRO children’s jacket which has been developed, tested and constructed to provide you with the greatest safety and the highest wearing comfort. materials used are the result of decades of experience, research and development. This instruction manual contains important care and maintenance information.

  • Page 4 Adjusting the jacket Your jacket has an adjustable abdominal belt which is equipped with a Velcro closure. Therefore, easy and precise installation is guaranteed. Fasten the abdominal belt first and then the chest strap. Now, inflate your jacket and adjust all straps so that the jacket fits tightly yet comfortably.
  • Page 5 Figure 2 Checking before the dive You can carry out this last check before the dive on the beach, on the boat or on the surface of the water in immediate proximity to the boat. After you have put on your own gear, put the jacket with the PTG on your child and do the following checks: Check the inlet valve and the pressure relief valve by sporadic activation of the inlet button until the pressure relief valve responds.
  • Page 6 Inflating and deflating The inflation and the deflation system in the SCUBAPRO jackets is simple and safe. Deflation can be done pneumatically as well as orally. Both systems function independently of one another. The jacket is emptied either by the quick stop on the right shoulder or by pressing the outlet button on the inflator mouthpiece.
  • Page 7 There is no flat valve in the mouthpiece. Thus, water can seep into the jacket while the air is being removed. Figure –3- EMPTYING THE JACKET BY MEANS OF THE QUICK STOP In order for the air to be able to escape by means of the quick stop, your position in the water must be upright or at least horizontal so that the air is in the top of the jacket (in the area of the quick stop valve).

    - Figure 4 PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE In order to prevent dangerous high pressure in the jacket, the pressure relief valve was added. It is located above the right shoulder or at the back, below on the right side. If the internal pressure exceeds the closing pressure of the pressure relief valve’s springs, the valve opens and the air escapes.
  • Page 9 Draining the jacket All of the valves can be used to drain the jacket. Inflate the jacket halfway. Bring the desired valve to the place where it is thickest. Now, activate the appropriate valve until the jacket is completely drained. WARNING: This jacket and the materials used are tested under the conditions of normal inhaled air (21% oxygen/79% nitrogen) and up to 40% nitrox.

  • Page 14 Anpassen des Jackets Ihr Jacket verfügt über einen verstellbaren Bauchgurt, der mit einem Klettverschluss versehen ist. Eine leichte und exakte Einstellung ist damit gewährleistet. Schließen Sie erst den Bauchgurt und dann den Brustgurt. Blasen Sie nun Ihr Jacket auf und justieren Sie alle Gurte bis das Jacket fest, aber dennoch bequem sitzt.
  • Page 15 Abbildung –2- Überprüfung vor dem Tauchgang Diesen letzten Check vor dem Tauchgang können Sie am Strand, auf dem Boot oder an der Wasseroberfläche in unmittelbarer Nähe des Bootes durchführen. Nachdem Sie sich ausgerüstet haben, legen Sie das Jacket mit dem PTG Ihrem Kind an und starten folgenden Check: Überprüfen des Einlassventils und des Überdruckventils durch intervallmäßiges Betätigen des Einlassknopfes, bis das Überdruckventil anspricht.
  • Page 16 Aufblasen und Luft ablassen Das Aufblas- und Ablass-System ist bei den SCUBAPRO Jackets einfach und sicher. Das Aufblasen kann sowohl pneumatisch als auch oral erfolgen. Beide Systeme funktionieren unabhängig voneinander. Das Entleeren erfolgt entweder über den Schnellstop an der rechten Schulter oder durch Drücken des Auslassknopfes am Inflator-Mundstück.
  • Page 17 Abbildung –3- ENTLEEREN ÜBER DEN QUICK-STOP Damit die Luft über den Quick-Stop entweichen kann, ist es notwendig, dass Ihre Lage im Wasser aufrecht oder zumindest horizontal ist, so dass die Luft oben im Jacket (im Bereich des Quick-Stop-Ventils) befindet.   • Page 18 Abbildung –4 ÜBERDRUCKVENTIL Um einen gefährlichen Überdruck im Jacket zu verhindern, wurde das Überdruckventil angebracht. Es befindet sich über der rechten Schulter oder hinten, unten an der rechten Seite. Wenn der Innendruck die Schließkraft der Feder des Überdruckventils übersteigt, öffnet sich das Ventil und die Luft entweicht. Somit wird eine Beschädigung des Jackets vermieden.
  • Page 19 Anpassen des Kinderjackets auf verschiedene Körpergrößen Das SCUBAPRO Jacket REBEL ist derzeit das einzige Jacket auf dem Markt, das mit dem Kind “mitwächst”. Ermöglicht wird dies durch zwei unterschiedliche Schnallen im Brustbereich. Die obere Schnalle ist für Jacketgröße S, die untere Schnalle für Jacketgröße M.

I materiali impiegati sono il risultato di decenni di esperienza, ricerca e sviluppo. Questo manuale di istruzioni contiene informazioni importanti in merito alla cura e alla manutenzione del jacket.
  • Page 34 Per questo motivo, è molto importante inserire nel jacket la corretta quantità di piombi in relazione all’assetto in acqua, allo scopo di ottenere una taratura ottimale. ATTENZIONE Il jacket non è un giubbotto di salvataggio, bensì un ausilio al galleggiamento e al nuoto. Uno jacket gonfiato in superficie non garantisce una posizione sicura della testa in caso di perdita di coscienza di chi lo indossa.

  • Page 40 Figura 4 VALVOLA DI SOVRAPRESSIONE La valvola di sovrapressione è stata introdotta per impedire un aumento pericoloso della pressione interna al jacket. È situata sopra la spalla destra oppure sul lato posteriore, in posizione inferiore, sul lato destro. Se la pressione interna supera la pressione di chiusura delle molle della valvola, questa si apre lasciando fuoriuscire l’aria ed evitando il danneggiamento del jacket.
  • Page 41 Svuotamento del jacket Tutte le valvole consentono lo svuotamento del jacket. Gonfiare il jacket a metà capienza. Portare la valvola prescelta nel punto di massimo spessore. Quindi, azionare la valvola fino a svuotare il jacket completamente.   • Page 61 Afbeelding –4 Overdruk ventiel Om een gevaarlijke overdruk te voorkomen, is er een overdrukventiel aangebracht. Het bevindt zich achter de rechter schouder, of onder aan de rechter zijde. Wanneer de interne druk te hoog wordt voor de sluitkracht van de veer van het overdrukventiel, opent het ventiel zich en ontsnapt de lucht.

  • Page 63 Maat M HET SNELAFWERP SYSTEEM (OPTIONEEL) Het Rebel biedt als optie afwerpbare loodpockets. Daardoor kan een voorbestemde hoeveelheid lood in een noodsituatie afgeworpen worden. In de meeste gevallen kan daardoor compleet van een loodgordel afstand gedaan worden. Dit komt in het bijzonder die kinderen tegemoet, die meestal nog geen uitgesproken taille hebben, en dat daardoor de loodgordel een beetje glijdt.
