1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 INTRODUCTION - The Air Rescue Systems Air Rescue Vest Quick Connect or ARV-QC is a reinvention of the tried and true ARS Air Rescue Vest. The ARV-QC utilizes a highly engineered Key-Lock lift system quick connect device that improves safety and eliminates the need for a carabiner. Furthermore the ARV-QC incorporates all new lightweight materials that significantly reduce overall system weight.
• A routine inspection must be performed every time the device has been stored for a period greater than 30 days. • A five-year life span is the maximum authorized use of ARS products following the date of manufacture. All ARS products have a five-year shelf life from the effective date of manufacture.
2.1.1 ARV-QC label information Read all product documentation and store in a secure location. Create a copy of all product documentation and keep with the ARV-QC for reference. • The rescue attendant can make in flight adjustments for the increased comfort of the victim by lifting the victims legs and pulling the ARV-QC up towards the knee. This action will help seat the victim deeper into the device providing more support.

2.5.2 SHORT HAUL - Attaching ARV-QC to a HELA Rig • When attaching a packaged victim to a shorthaul HELA Rig the attachment should be executed as depicted. • Attach one paired leg of HELA Rig carabiners directly into the large eye of the Key-Lock Lift System.

3.0 ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS The ARV-QC is compatible with a variety of additional products and safety equipment. It is the responsibility of the user to learn and understand the operational requirements, strength ratings, and airworthiness limitations of all equipment not listed in this product manual that is used in conjunction with the Air Rescue Vest Quick Connect.
4.0 STOWING PROCEDURES In order to ensure the ARV-QC is flight ready and correctly configured for a safe, easy, and quick deployment it is imperative the device is stowed properly after every use. Step 4.1 • Lay the ARV-QC on a clean flat surface with the inside facing up.

5.0 PRODUCT CARE 5.1 MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION - • Before and after each use, inspect the ARV-QC to ensure that it is in a serviceable condition. • Check for worn or damaged parts. • Ensure all hardware (D-Rings, Key-Lock Plates, etc) are present.
