METHOD Line your Pie Maker cooking plate well with pastry. Allow approximately 1 cm of extra pastry around the edge of the pie base plate well. Cover the pastry base with baking paper and then fill with baking beans. Close the lid, switch on your Pie Maker and cook the pastry for approximately 5 minutes.
METHOD To make pastry using a food processor: Add the flour, butter and salt to a food processor and using dough blades, process briefly until the fat is rubbed into the flour and the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. With the motor running, gradually add the water through the feeding chute until the dough comes together.

METHOD Blind bake the pastry, according to the instructions given in this manual. Melt the butter in a large frying pan, then add the onions and fry on a medium heat for a couple of minutes, until softened. Add the mushrooms and parsley and cook for approximately 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
