    FEATURES & BENEFITS With their compact, lightweight, ergonomic design, the CDM 20 P provides simple, user-friendly wet or dry drilling every day on the construction site. The clamping collar ensures convenient control of the core drill using a clamping handle for hand-guided drilling as well as easy mounting on core drilling stand for guided core drilling.

    Intended use The LISSMAC core drill motor CDM 20 is a wet and dry core drill machine and belongs to the device class of core drilling equipment. The core drill is used in combination with a diamond core drill, to drill round holes in stone, concrete and composite materials.

    1.2. Organisational measures The operating manual must be easily accessible for each person at the location of the core drill motor. Supplements to the operating manual and all generally valid legal and otherwise binding regulations for accident prevention and environmental protection must be followed. Such obligations may also apply, for example, to the handling of hazardous materials or the wearing of personal protective gear or traffic regulations.

    1.3. Personnel choice and personnel qualification; basic responsibilities Only qualified personnel 18 years of age or older may operate the core drill motor independently. All personnel must be trained in the operation and be explicitly, in writing, authorized by the company to operate the core drill motor.

    1.4.2. Commissioning When inserting the tool, protect hands against sharp edges. Ensure that the floor on which cuts are to be made fulfils load carrying capacities. All obstacles must be cleared away from the cutting area and the work area must have sufficient lighting. Visual inspection of the whole core drill motor for damages and defects.

    1.5.1. Danger for the operator by the machine Before leaving the operating position on the machine, the drive motor must be shut down and the tool must no longer rotate. The drive motor of the machine must only be put in drilling for intended use. Always practice necessary caution and ensure sufficient lighting at the workplace.

    1.5.3. Dust When working in close quarters, follow any applicable national guidelines. Working with the core drill motor is a grinding process that generates very fine respirable mineral dust. This may cause lung damage known as silicosis. For dry-cutting processes, the machine may only be used together with a mounted extraction pipe and a suitable dust extraction system.

    3.3. PRCD switch DANGER Lethal danger due to a defective personal protection switch PRCD, Death or serious injury from electric shock. Operating the machine with a personal protection switch PRCD is not permitted!  The personal protection switch PRCD is to be fundamentally checked before each start up of the machine.

    4.1. Drilling with water When core drilling with water, the water is used to cool the diamond drill bit and to bind any generated drilling dust and to flush the core drill during drilling. To supply the core drill motor with water, connect the supplied GEKA coupling to the water supply with a max.

    4.4. Inserting / changing tool CAUTION Burn hazard after using the core drill motor The tool and the motor can become very hot after prolonged use, especially in dry cutting. Let parts cool off  Wear safety gloves  Check the seating and condition of the tool. A damaged tool may not be used and must be replaced immediately.

    4.5. Overload protection The drill motor is fitted with a thermo-safety switch to protect the motor, operator and diamond core drill bit.  Electronic / thermal If the motor is overloaded, the overload display (LED) flashes below at the handle. It is recommended to keep the pressure / load on the drill bit as low as possible to prevent a motor overload.
