    Overview & Features What is an inverter? An inverter is an electronic device designed to convert Direct Current (DC) to Alternating Current (AC). DC is the power produced by batteries or solar power, whilst AC is the standard power required for most electrical equipment. Modified Sine Wave Inverters Modified Sine Wave Inverters (MSW), switch the DC power source between positive and negative poles in a stepped fashion to give you a simulated sine wave form.
