    Section 1 Installation Step 1: Plug the small end of the USB cable into the Chatterbox. Step 2: With your computer on, plug the larger end of the USB cable into an open USB port on your computer. (If your Chatterbox does not install see the Troubleshooting section for additional help).
  • Page 3 Step 4: Once the tools menu comes up click on Options… at the bottom. Step 5: Once the Options menu comes up click on Sound Devices.
  • Page 4 Step 6: Change the Audio In from Windows default to USB Audio Device or USB Composite Device by clicking on the drop down arrow. Step 7: Next change the Audio Out to USB Audio Device or USB Composite Device by clicking on the drop down arrow.
  • Page 5 Step 8: You can also change the ringing to come from the Chatterbox by changing the Ringing option to USB Audio Device or USB Composite Device. Once you are done click on the Save button. Skype will now use Chatterbox as your speaker and Mic for talking over the Internet.

    Section 2 Troubleshooting Chatterbox installs in Windows as a USB Composite Device under USB and a USB Audio Device under Sound, video and game controllers. If these devices are not listed in Device Manager the Chatterbox is not fully installed.
  • Page 7 To Access Windows Device Manager “right click” on your My Computer icon and select “Properties”. When the following screen comes up click on the Hardware Tab.
  • Page 8 Click on “Device Manager” to bring up the Device Manager Window (if you are using Windows XP Service Pack 1 or Windows 2000 the Device Manager Button will one step below where it is in the current picture next to Driver Signing on the same tab).
  • Page 9 Note: The Chatterbox drivers are already included as part of the supported Windows and Macintosh operating systems. There are no additional drivers to install. If the Chatterbox does not automatically install when it is plugged in, the most likely cause is that your copy of the operating system is missing some of the driver files that are part of the operating system.
