    Installation 7.0 Installation Overview 7.1 Planning Your Installation To install I.H.E.A.T. with your fireplace, take the following steps: Pick a location for installation of the fireplace - be aware of traffic areas and the location of furniture Choose the location(s) for the I.H.E.A.T. Discharge Head(s) Install the framing according to Section 8 of this manual Install the I.H.E.A.T.

    Installation 8.0 I.H.E.A.T. Framing 8.1 Fireplace Framing IMPORTANT Framing dimensions should allow for wall covering thickness and fireplace facing materials. If using a hearth, adjust rough opening size as necessary to maintain at least minimum clearance requirements. Non–combustible or combustible facing material may be applied over (but not directly to) fireplace face.
  • Page 15 Installation The fireplace may be recessed according to the finishing material used (see See Section 8.1). Bend the tab according to the thickness of the wallboard being installed, then install the finishing material.
