Intended use
•
The product is intended for use as a light in indoor and outdoor
areas such as gardens, terraces and balconies. The battery
charges via the solar panel in daylight. The stored energy al-
lows the LED to light up in the dark.

The product is not a toy!
•
The product is intended for private use at home and not for
commercial use.

Use the product only as described in the instructions. Any oth-
er use is regarded as unintended.

packaging away from children and animals.

Rechargeable batteries can be life-threatening if swallowed.
Keep battery and product out of reach of children and animals.
If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical help immedi-
ately.

If the battery leaks, never allow skin, eyes, or mucous mem-
branes to come into contact with battery acid. Should this oc-
cur, rinse the affected areas immediately with plenty of clean
water and consult a doctor.
NOTICE – risk of damage to material and property
■
Never disassemble the product (unless to remove the battery
before disposing of the solar unit). Have repairs carried out by
a specialist workshop or customer service only. The LED can-
not be replaced.
■
Batteries may not be disassembled, thrown into fi re, submerged
in liquids or shorted.
■
Do not position the solar light close to other light sources such
as street lights or other lamps, so that the LED can switch on
automatically.
■
Keep the solar panel clean to ensure maximum possible light
absorption. Wipe the solar panel (and other elements on the
product if necessary) with a damp cloth. Never use corrosive
or abrasive cleaners to clean the product! They can dam-
age the surfaces.
■
Never submerge the column in water or other liquids! It is only
splashproof.

In extreme weather conditions (e.g., storms, hail), or if you are
not using the product for a long time, switch off and store in a
dry place at room temperature.

Check the items supplied for completeness and possible transport
damage. If the product has been damaged in transit, do not (!) use
it and instead contact customer service.

Instructions
Putting into operation
1. Remove any protective fi lm (e.g., from solar panel) and labels.
Never remove the rating plate!
2. Place the product where the solar panel can receive direct
sunlight for as long as possible.
– The product can be fastened onto hooks, lines, etc. using the
bracket. Tilt it upwards to do so.
– The product can be fi xed to the ground or a fl ower pot using
the ground spike. Screw it into the bottom of the product to
do so.
3. Press the on/off switch on the decorative column to turn the
product on.
The battery of the solar unit can now charge in daylight. The
battery must be charged before the LED can illuminate. To pre-
serve battery life, ensure it is fully charged (approximately 6 – 8
hours).
At nightfall the LED switches on automatically. When it gets
light, the LED switches off and the battery charges via the solar
panel.
Battery power can be severely impacted by extremely low
temperatures.
4. Press the on/off switch on the decorate column again to turn
the product off.

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally
friendly manner and recycle it.
This product is subject to European Directive 2012/19/EU
on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Do
not dispose of this product as normal household waste, but
through an offi cially approved disposal company according
to environmental regulations.
Remove the battery before disposing of the product and re-
turn it to the appropriate collection facility separately from
the product.

1. Unscrew the screws on the battery compartment/solar panel
with a screwdriver and remove the battery compartment cover.
2. Remove the battery.
