Explanation of Symbols and Signal Words
Danger sign: This symbol indicates risk of physical
injury. Read the associated safety instructions carefully,
and comply with them.

WARNING warns of possible serious injuries and danger to life
CAUTION warns of slight to moderate injuries
Intended Use
•
The solar lamp is designed to decorate outdoor areas. The
storage battery charge during the daytime via the solar panel.
The accumulated energy allows the LEDs to illuminate at night.

The product is designed for personal use only and is not in-
tended for commercial applications.
•
The product should only be used as described in these instruc-
tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper. Store the in-
structions in a safe place.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
■
WARNING – Danger of Suff ocation! Keep children and ani-
mals away from the packaging material.
■
The product is not a toy. Do not leave children and animals
unsupervised with the product, in order to avoid injuries!
■
CAUTION – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! If the bat-
tery leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear
protective gloves if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse
the aff ected area with abundant fresh water immediately and
contact a doctor as soon as possible.
■
Never disassemble the solar unit (except for removing the stor-
age battery prior to disposal of the solar unit). Have repairs
carried out by a specialist workshop or customer service only.
The LEDs cannot be replaced.
■
Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in
fi re, immersed in liquids or short circuited.
■
Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only
splashproof.
■
In extreme weather conditions (e. g., storms, hail), or if you are
not using the product for a long time, switch off and store in a
dry place at room temperature.
■
Protect the product from naked fl ames and impact.

Check the items supplied for completeness and transport dam-
age. If you fi nd any damage, do not use, but rather contact the
customer service department.
Remove any protective fi lm (e.g., from solar panel) and labels. Ne-
ver remove the rating plate!

Set-up
The solar lamp should not be placed near to other light sources
such as street lamps or other lamps, so that the LEDs can be swit-
ched on automatically.
Position the solar lamp so that the solar panel is able to absorb
direct sunlight the whole day preferably.
Please Note: The solar lamp is splashproof (IP44). Nevertheless,
we recommend placing it in a location outdoors where it is pro-
tected from rain to ensure that it works perfectly.
1. Screw the ground spike to the desired length with the extensi-
on rods. The rod without thread must be used last.
2. Screw the ground spike into the receptacle on the solar unit.
3. Push the ground spike into the ground.
Switching on and off
1. Push the On / Off switch to the ON position to activate the solar
unit.
The battery can now charge up in daylight. When darkness
sets in, the LEDs automatically switch on. When it gets light,
the LEDs switch off and the battery is charged up via the solar
fi eld.
Before the LEDs can illuminate, the battery must be charged
up for approx. 6 to 8 hours.
2. When the solar light is not being used switch it off by pushing
the On / Off switch to the OFF position.
PLEASE NOTE: Battery power can be severely impacted by ext-
remely low temperatures.
Cleaning
Keep the solar panel clean to ensure maximum possible light ab-
sorption. Wipe the solar panel (and other elements on the product
if necessary) with a damp cloth. Never use corrosive or abrasive
cleaners to clean the product! They can damage the surfaces.

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally
friendly manner and recycle it.
The battery should be removed before the product is dis-
posed of and should be disposed of separately from the
product at suitable collection points.
This product is governed by the European Directive
2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE). Do not dispose of this product as normal domestic
waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via
an offi cially approved waste disposal company.
Removing the storage battery
Loosen the screws of the solar unit and remove the cover. After-
wards, you can remove the storage battery.
