® TERRANOS SHADES Labour & tools A minimum of three skilled personnel are required to assemble the SHADE correctly. Furthermore a lifting tool (e.g an assembly crane, excavator with grab, etc.) is recommended. The following tools are required during foundation preparation: 1.

® TERRANOS SHADES Foundation preparation of the SHADE posts Every SHADE needs two individual foundations for the longer posts and a strip foundation for the shorter posts according to the attached foundation plan and the drawing of the foundations. Please note that the different kind of foundations have different installation depths.
® TERRANOS SHADES Mounting of the strut The longer posts are connected by the horizontal strut at their upper end. To install the strut both system balls Ø250mm have to be mounted first ontop the posts by using the hex head cap bolt with the spring lock washer and the washer (see attached drawing).
(see drawing below) is app. 100 mm (4“). Connect the membrane ends with the Frox connection to the Terranos clamp by using the M10 bolts with the lock washers. Pay attention to the right direction of the Frox head at the tesnsioning points „looking up“...

® TERRANOS SHADES The upper tensioning points have to be connected to the system balls ontop the longer posts. Put the M16 threaded rods through the opening within the system balls. Use the rounded washer, the washer and the hex nut. The membrane is tensioned by tighten the nuts within the balls.
® TERRANOS SHADES Maintenance Maintenance inspections should be conducted on a frequent basis. We recommend that maintenance is carried out at least twice a year, or more often if the structure experiences a high play frequency. Please hand these instructions to the assigned service personnel.
