Do not expose the product to impacts or direct sunlight.
Do not make any changes to the product and do not attempt to
repair it. Contact the customer service department if there is
any damage. The individual LEDs cannot be replaced.
If the product is dirty, wipe it with a damp cloth and mild deter-
gent if necessary. Under no circumstances should you use any
corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents, rough sponges or sharp
objects to clean the product. These may damage the surface.

Check the items supp ied for comp eteness and the components
for transport damage. If you fi nd any damage, do not use the prod-
uct but contact our customer service department.

4 batteries (1.5 V, AA) are also required. These are not supplied
with the product.

Inserting / Changing Batteries

Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts are
clean and clean them if necessary.
1. The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the prod-
uct. Undo the three screws and take off the battery compart-
ment cover.
2. Remove the battery holder by the handle and take out dead
batteries if necessary. Insert four batteries (1.5 V; AA) into the
battery holder. Ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).
3. Slide the battery holder into the battery compartment.
4. Place the battery compartment cover on and fi x it in place with
the screws.
Replace the batteries when the power of the LEDs starts to wane.
Assembling the Ground Spike
The ground spike can be extended from 25 cm up to 100 cm.
1. Plug the ground spike onto at least one extension tube (25 cm).
2. Assemble the ground spike with connecting pieces and exten-
sion tubes to the length you want (max. 100 cm).
3. Place the owl on the ground spike. Check that it fi ts securely.
Use
1. Placing the product – The product can be placed on a dry,
raised surface (e.g. stone) or planted in the garden.
When it is planted in the garden, plug together the ground spike
to the height you want (see "Assembling the Ground Spike")
and anchor it fi rmly in the ground.
2. Switching on – Press the On / Off switch on the bottom of
the product. Three beeps are heard and the LEDs light up for
20 seconds. The LEDs and ultrasonic sounds switch on auto-
matically when the motion detector registers a movement. The
LEDs and ultrasonic sounds switch off again after around 20
seconds without registering a movement.
3. Switching off – If the product is no longer to be used, press
the On / Off switch again.

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally
friendly manner so that it can be recycled.
Batteries should be removed before disposing of the prod-
uct and disposed of separately from the product at suitable
collection points.
This product is governed by the European Directive
2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE). Do not dispose of the product as normal domestic
waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via
an offi cially approved waste disposal company.
