Introduction In diesel engines a build-up of combustion residues or carbonisation occurs very frequently around the element of the glow plug. Sometimes this can causes the element to stick in the cylinder head, which in turn leads to a heat build-up. Contamination can enter the glow plug hole which also leads to problems such as corrosion, especially around the thread of the glow plug as well as the rest of the hole.

2.2. Determine on the glow plug the sealing seat angle with the angle gauge 4024030. Angle Gauge (60°, 90° & 120°) 4024030 Use the angle gauge (60, 90, 120) to find the exact glow plug sealing seat angle Example: glow plug with sealing seat angle 60° Angle does not match Angle does match Page 9 of 14...

2.4. Slide the selected guide to the start of the reamer. Place the reamer with the guide beside the glow plug, making sure the threads line Guide Reamer Distance A The length "X" may never exceed the distance "A" other wise the reamer is clamped in the glow plug shaft when screwing in the guide! 2.5.
2.7. Carefully, with minimal pressure rotate clockwise only and clean the Rotate clockwise only and sealing cone from carbon deposits apply only minimal pressure!
