  • Page 1 Assembly of a Serener GS-L05 system Open the top cover of the case with the wrench – part of the delivery content.
  • Page 2 Now unscrew and remove the hard disk bracket from the top cover of the case. Place the 2.5“ hard disk in the hard disk bracket now and fasten it with the delivered screws.
  • Page 3 Now turn the HDD around and place the delivered silicon tape on the HDD. But first remove the protective cover on the silicone tape. Now screw the HDD back on the top cover of the case, same position as before.
  • Page 4 Take the case and place the LED cable on the side. As part of the delivery content of your mainboard you will find a front panel. Push it in until it is hooked tight.
  • Page 5 Next Step, push the case and the isolation plate apart – like a drawer. Now place the mainboard on the isolation plate right on the mainboard bracket.
  • Page 6 Push the heatsink/fan clamp very carefully downward and slightly backwards – in direction of the RAM. Unplug the fan as seen on the picture.
  • Page 7 Then, very carefully remove the second clamp of the second heatsink/fan and push it in the direction of the first heatsink/fan and at the same time push it down. Clean the CPU (marked) and the chipset (marked).
  • Page 8 When you are finished cleaning, apply a small amount of thermal conductance paste on the CPU and the chipset (only on the marked area), the area has to be covered completely. Remove the protective cover from the bottom side of the heatsink/fan (see picture below).
  • Page 9 Before you place the heatsink/fan on the mainboard, bend the inner clamp slightly upwards. Now place the heatsink/fan on the designated spot on the mainboard, hook in the inner clamp first – VERY CAREFULLY – and then hook in the other clamps – VERY CAREFULLY – too. Remove the protective cover from the top of the heatsink/fan.
  • Page 10 Additionally, you need to glue on the pictured small heatsink/fan, which is also part of the delivery content, on the free ICH-chipset. Next up is the RAM, open the fastening noses outward, then place the RAM in the slot, push it down until it is locked in.
  • Page 11 Originally, the cable for the power LED has an empty „port“ in the middle. Now you will have to remove the blue cable by using a small screw driver and lift the small, black nose on the back of the jack. CAREFULLY bend the nose and pull the cable out, place it in the middle „port“...
  • Page 12 Next Step, connect the power LED cable with the green marked PINs (according to Intel). The writing has to point in the same direction again. Connect the M3-ATX with the remote power cable (connection only possible in one way), as well as plug in the jumper on the right position (see picture).
  • Page 13 Connect the M3-ATX with the power connector – only one possible way – push it down until it is hooked, the „nose“ has to point outward. Please connect the switch cable of the remote cable from your M3-ATX adapter with the red marked PINs (according to Intel) right next to the power LED plug.
  • Page 14 Push the isolation plate back in the case – like a drawer. Now connect the HDD with the adapter SATA-HDD 2,5“ to SATA-MB and power, it is only possible to connect in one direction.
  • Page 15 There are 2 SATA connections on the mainboard, usually we use SATA0 but you can choose which connection you would like to use.
  • Page 16 Now you will need the Y-cable 1x 5.25 to 2x 5.25. Connect it accordingly: Power cable from HDD and Y- cable P4 to 5.25 and Y- cable P4 and mainboard Last but not least, distribute the thermal conductive paste complete heatsink/fan. Do not use all of the paste, but make sure that you used enough so that everything is covered evenly.
  • Page 17 The 5.25 connection of your power supply (M3-ATX) needs to be connected with the other free connection of the Y- cables. Now you can place the top cover on the open case and screw it back on with the wrench. Written by: Alice Bandermann und Corinna Horn...
