4. Notes / Support

4.1 Warning against unauthorised maintenance
− Never exceed the permissible charging voltage!
− Never exceed the permissible discharge current!
− Only operate the battery within the specified temperature range.
− Opening the battery is strictly forbidden and is reserved for trained employees or service providers to be appointed
by us.
− Opening the battery leads to the expiration of warranty and guarantee claims against Offgridtec GmbH.
− In the event of technical faults or problems, always contact customer service with a detailed description of the fault,
as well as your customer and order number, by e-mail to info@offgridtec.com.

4.2 Troubleshooting

The BMS interrupts the charging or discharging process in the following cases:
− As soon as the voltage of a cell reaches more than 3.9V - the BMS switches the charge on again as soon as the
cell voltage reaches 3.6V.
− As soon as the voltage of a cell reaches less than 2V - the BMS allows a current drain again as soon as the
voltage reaches 2.5V.
− Switch-off due to overload - please refer to the specifications of the individual batteries, sometimes high starting
currents of capacitors in inverters or other consumers must be taken into account --- the overload lock is cancelled 8
seconds after the load is switched off.
− The charge/discharge process is interrupted when the battery temperature reaches 65°C - the error is
automatically cleared when the temperature reaches 50°C.
− If the maximum permissible pulse discharge current is exceeded, it is possible that the BMS will find the "Short
circuit" error in a continuous loop between "Short circuit" and "Short circuit aborted". If this error message does not
end itself, the battery function can be restored by disconnecting the loads and simply charging (>13.8V).
− If an error is not automatically cleared and the battery remains in error mode, please send an error message to
info@offgridtec.com, if necessary with screenshots from the app or other meaningful image material.
