Attaching the tedder to the tractor Couple the tedder with the tractor using the three-point linkage bar (1) (Fig. 7) and the bar pin (2), which must be secured with the cotter pin. Then connect the four hydraulic hoses to the two hydraulic pairs (3) of the tractor.

Always switch off the PTO drive of the tractor before moving the machine to the transport position. Before the operation, it is necessary to make sure that the tedder rotors have come to a standstill.

Folding the tedder on this type of ground can cause damage to the machine. WARNING! When folding the tedder, ensure that there are no bystanders within the folding radius of the tedder arms.

OPERATOR’S MANUAL TRAILED ROTARY TEDDER P10-1200 For correct adjustment of the ground wheels to the transport position, follow the instructions below (Fig. 12): 1. Rotate the steered wheels of the tedder to the position parallel to the direction of travel and the tedder bars.
P10-1200 TRAILED ROTARY TEDDER OPERATOR’S MANUAL 5.4. Preparing the tedder for transport on public roads To meet safety precautions concerning transport on the public roads the tedder should be equipped with two warning plates T (Fig. 17). The plates are in standard equipment of the tedder.

If the vibration dampers are tightened too much, they may become blocked and the ground wheels may become difficult to position in the direction of travel. This may cause damage to the machine. After each adjustment of the dampers, make sure that the rotating wheels are positioned in the direction of travel.

5.7. Preparing the tedder for work WARNING! During storing of the machines in company SaMASZ the cylinders are protected by special grease in order to secure them against weather which may cause their premature wear. Before starting the operation excess grease should be removed from the cylinders.

It is not recommended to set a 14° tilting angle in the wheel systems because of the possibility of collision between the ground wheel and the working springs in the transport position. In order to make it easier for the operator to obtain the right tilt angle after levelling the machine, the tedder has been equipped with a tilt cylinder lock (Fig.

Removing clogging and jams When operating the tedder pay attention to variable conditions on field, which may influence the tedder clogging and jams, such as: terrain unevenness, height and density of grass as well as other objects in the grass (stones, branches, piles of soil).

P10-1200 TRAILED ROTARY TEDDER OPERATOR’S MANUAL 9. DISASSEMBLY AND WITHDRAWAL FROM USE 9.1. Repair Before starting any repair or service the tedder should be cleaned and any grass or dirt removed.Carefully check nuts and bolts for correct tension and the pins for wear. Replace if necessary.
2. The warranty period is for two years from the date of sale to the purchaser, stated above. 3. Any repair which is subject to warranty should be carried out by an authorised SaMASZ dealer. Upon completion of the repair the dealer must submit a warranty claim within 14 days.
