• The peak temperature should be reached
in approximately 8 seconds.
• For rectal measurement, a fever is
considered any temperature of 100.4° F
(38°C) or higher.
UNDERARM (AUXILIARY) USE
(BODY MODE):
• Wipe underarm with a dry towel.
• Place probe tip in armpit and bring arm
down against the body. The thermometer
should be pointing upward in the same
direction as your body if possible.
• The time required for an accurate
underarm temperature may be 12
seconds or longer depending on
placement of the probe and closure of
the arm against the body.
• For armpit measurement, a fever is
considered any temperature of 99° F
(37.2°C) or higher.
ORAL USE (BODY MODE):
(FOR CHILDREN 4 YEARS AND
OLDER)
• Do not drink hot or cold fluids, exercise
or perform other activities that will raise
or lower temperature readings when
compared to your normal, average
temperature. The mouth should remain
closed up to 5 minutes before attempting
a reading.
• Place the probe tip well under the tongue.
Instruct children not to bite down on the
probe.
• The peak temperature should be reached
in approximately 10 seconds. Opening
the mouth could result in a longer time
for a reading.
• For oral measurement, a fever is
considered any temperature of 100° F
(37.8°C) or higher.

NASAL ASPIRATOR:
1. Insert cotton ball or wadded facial tissue
in chamber to prevent mucus or bacterial
transfer.
2. Place soft blue tip against child's nostril
3. Using long, slow breaths, use blue
mouthpiece to suck out mucus.
4. Dispose of cotton ball or facial tissue
after use.
5. Wash chamber with warm soap & water.
Clean thin tube with a few drops of
rubbing alcohol.
6. Firmly snap dry pieces together, inserting
a new filter for next use.
7. Not dishwasher safe.
