Idler End Mount
Assemble the gearbox mount. Insert the bolts

through the correct holes for the desired
alignment, then attach & tighten the nuts.
Check the gearbox is correctly aligned. Will it
be on the left or right of the blind? Note: the
gearbox will need to be on an angle (as shown)
to ensure the winder handle is easy to use.

Assemble the idler end mount. Align the slot to
match the gearbox mount, insert bolts in the
correct holes, then attach & tighten the nuts.
Check the slot is correctly aligned, so the roller
tube is level. Make sure the open end of the slot
will be facing up when installed (if it isn't, the
roller tube will fall out). Check there will be
enough clearance above the brackets to install
the blind (it slots in from above).

  • Page 3 Gearbox Patio Blind Installation NOTE: this step is for mounting to timber only. If you are mounting to steel, go to step 7. Pre-drill all holes with a 3mm drill bit. Ensure the screws will go into solid framing, not cladding.
  • Page 4 Gearbox Patio Blind Installation Stage 2: After Blind Manufacture Insert the roller tube inserts into the correct ends of the roller tube. Check the blind will be facing the correct way around: the bottom bar should be covered by a PVC flap on the outside and exposed on the inside.
  • Page 5 Gearbox Patio Blind Installation Using the winder handle provided, wind the blind down and mark the position of the flush rings (on the ground directly below the snap hooks on the bottom bar). Using the tek screws supplied, mount the flush rings in the marked locations.
